Crystal Vision has introduced a new five year warranty for customers who register their products. This extended five year back-to-base warranty is applicable to all products shipped after 20th August 2009, and is available to those who register their products within 60 days of their shipping date.

The new five year warranty, which was launched on 20th August and which is an extension of the standard three year warranty, covers all labour and parts and is applicable to modules, frames, power supplies, rear modules, fans, active frame front panels and remote control panels. Crystal Vision will repair or replace any defective items free of charge for the period of the warranty, guaranteeing availability of spare parts for five years following purchase, and will also provide critical software updates throughout the lifetime of the board.

ARISTON BTS announces the cooperation with WASP3D (www.wasp3d.com).

The cooperation is for promoting and supporting of WASP3D´s solutions in Greece and Cyprus.

ARISTON BROADCAST & TELECOM SOLUTIONS SA announces the completion of MTV GREECE project.

The project includes designing, supply of equipment, project management and installation.

MTV GREECE is the Greek branch of the well-known music channel that dominates the global TV market. The station started broadcasts officially since 1st September 2008. It is the first television station in Greece that is full HD and is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment.

Commenting, the Technical Director of the station Mr. Yiannis Lambropoulos said: «It was a challenge for us to create a new HD channel. We chose strategic partnership with companies that could offer us the necessary know- how in every aspect, from consultancy to implementation and products. The project was implemented in a very short time and therefore everybody involved really deserves congratulations.»

ARISTON BROADCAST & TELECOM SOLUTIONS SA announces the integration of ORT. The project includes the designing, supply and installation of equipment. ORT is a peripheral TV station channel based in Pyrgos.

It uses entirely VSN automations. It has 2 ingest servers (VSN CAPTURERS), complete news system with playout server (VSN AIRNEWS) to control prompter and CG. There are 6 ADOBE PREMIERE stations for editing news and productions and exporting either to the news or to the TX server (VSN matic). VSN matic has the ability to control CG (VSN CG) and the master control switcher (EVERTZ QMC). At the heart of the TV station is a fully redundant router (EVERTZ XENON), the interfaces are from CRYSTAL VISION, while the production equipment is from SONY (vision mixer DFS-800, studio cameras DXC-D55, LCD wall monitors, etc.).

Commenting, the Executive Director of the TV station Mr. Kostas Varouxis said: “We wanted to upgrade the station with entirely digital equipment and be prepared to exploit the capabilities of DVB-T. We did a market research for more than a year, trying to evaluate all the proposals we had in our hands. We felt that the extensive use of automations was mandatory since we wanted to keep operational costs low. Ease of handling the automations and ease of expansion of the system was very important for us. As result we have chosen the proposal we consider to be better, safer (we visited other TV stations to watch similar systems in operation) and better supported, without ignoring total cost.”

ARISTON BROADCAST & TELECOM SOLUTIONS SA announces the integration of RED. The project includes the designing, supply and installation of equipment.

RED has a general program, with particular emphasis on news. It is the first tapeless TV station (of this size), in Greece. RED widely uses solutions from VSN (ingest, MAM, Newsroom Automation & Playout, TX Playout) and it is the first station that use exclusively APPLE platform for editing and graphics. The baseband section of the TV station is based on EVERTZ (redundant router XENON, QMC-mcs , SPG, 2MULTIVIEWERS), interfaces come from CRYSTAL VISION and studio equipment from SONY (DFS-800 & DXC-55).

Commenting, the Executive Director of the station Mr. Anthony Martinis said: “We wanted to create a 24-hour channel broadcasting, covering the region of the Dodecanese and not just Rhodes. The operation was very difficult especially because of region’s geographical particularities. We paid attention to news, both at global level (with subscription to REUTERS) and also with local correspondents in most islands and in Athens. We have chosen the wide use of automations to minimize operational costs, while simultaneously increasing flexibility. For these reasons we choose well-established manufacturers (EVERTZ, SONY, VSN) and we trusted in a company that could bring out successfully not only the integration but also the monitoring and maintenance of the system.”

ARISTON Broadcast & Telecom Solutions SA announces the completion of installation of new television channel of Cyprus, MAGIC. This project concerns the study, installation and supply of equipment. MAGIC broadcasts with success 24-hour music program from late 2007.

MAGIC wishes to constitute the model of modern television station with new technologies using the least amount of employees per shift.

Commenting, the General Director of tv station Mr Andreas Christodoulou says characteristically: “We wanted to create a television station of 24-hour broadcast channel, with use of automation, to minimise operation costs, without lose quality and flexibility.
