the Leofoto G2 is lighter, which makes it easier to use and travel with. It has an arca swiss plate on the top and on the bottom should you want to conveniently put the head on another tripod head or mounting system that uses arca swiss. The bottom plate also comes off making it a bit lighter. There are gears for forward/back and side tilts. The pan just tightens. The adjustments feel well lubricated and very easy to adjust.
